Public Liability cover.
|
|
| |
This covers the club if it is liable at law and the FA make this
a compulsory requirement.
The club and its members are covered for a range of things but
the most common claims come from acts of negligence arising out of
poor maintenance of training or match equipment including defective
goals or poorly maintained pitches. The other things we get
protection against is reckless behaviour e.g. injuries to the
players for training in dangerous conditions. This also provides
cover for the club if we are sued at some time in the future –e.g.
allegations of child abuse. Thankfully it is rare for voluntary
clubs like ours to be sued and the cost of this cover is small but
this covers the cost of defending any claims against us or our
members.

Personal Accident weekly benefits
|
|
| |
This insurance is only available to adult teams as it is
designed to soften the blow of not being able to work because of
your disability. Most injuries are stable after 2 weeks and many
people are able to get about after this time and the insurance is
not designed to pay out for this. However if the player is able to
show they are temporarily disabled after 2 weeks they get £50 a week
benefit – but only starting in week 3.
